What is core drilling in concrete?

Core drilling in concrete is a precise round hole made with a professional fixed machine, creating a clean pass-through in concrete ceilings, walls, or floors. It suits routes for plumbing, electricity, AC, ventilation, and other utilities.

When do you need concrete drilling?

The most common drilling types on construction sites, renovations, and occupied buildings.

Plumbing routes

Precise holes for water, sewage, and gas pipes through concrete walls, floors, and ceilings.

AC infrastructure

Holes in the right diameters for refrigerant and condensate lines for split-unit AC systems.

Ventilation ducts

Core holes for air passages and ventilation ducts in exterior walls, utility rooms, and storage areas.

Electrical and data

Small-diameter holes for electrical cables, data, network, and intercom through concrete.

Ceiling drilling

Controlled concrete cores in ceilings for utility routes between floors and plumbing connections.

Concrete wall drilling

Precise holes in interior and exterior concrete walls, including reinforced concrete, for any operational purpose.

Concrete floor drilling

Concrete cores in floors for drainage, sewage, electrical, and deep utility routes as required.

Construction and renovation site work

Custom holes for contractors and renovation projects - repairs, connections, and utility openings.

Price

How much does concrete drilling cost?

The price of concrete drilling varies by hole diameter, drilling depth, concrete type, wall or floor thickness, number of holes, access conditions, working height, and power availability on site.

To get an initial price estimate, we recommend sending a photo, stating the approximate diameter and number of holes. The final price is set after verifying site conditions and operational coordination. All quotes are presented as "from" or price ranges.

Drilling by need and diameter

The right diameter is determined by the type of utility, pipe, or connected equipment. We will recommend the right diameter for your needs.

Small holes for electrical and data

Small-diameter holes for electrical cables, network, intercom, and data through concrete walls, floors, and ceilings.

Plumbing pipe drilling

Medium-diameter holes for water, sewage, and gas pipes in private, commercial, and public buildings.

AC drilling

Custom holes for refrigerant and condensate pipes for split-unit and multi-split AC systems.

Ventilation drilling

Large-diameter core holes for ventilation ducts, bathroom fans, and technical air passages.

Concrete wall drilling

Precise holes in interior and exterior concrete walls, including load-bearing and reinforced concrete walls.

Ceiling and floor drilling

Concrete cores in ceilings and floors for utility routes, inter-floor connections, and structural adaptations.

How do you get a concrete drilling quote?

Five simple steps - from the first inquiry to scheduling on site.

Send a photo of the drilling area

Photograph the area - wall, floor, or ceiling - and send it to us on WhatsApp. A clear photo enables a fast and accurate estimate.

State the diameter and depth if known

If you have a required diameter or know the concrete thickness, share it with us. If not, we will guide you through a few basic questions.

State the number of holes and work location

The number of holes and the site location directly affect the price and scheduling.

Receive an initial price estimate

We will come back with an initial price range, with no commitment and no cost. A final quote follows site-condition verification.

Schedule an orderly execution

We agree on a convenient date, arrive with professional equipment, and carry out the drilling quickly, cleanly, and precisely.

Professional drilling with a fixed rig

Professional concrete drilling is done using appropriate equipment and a fixed rig, matched to site conditions, concrete type, and the required diameter. Correct work reduces the risk of unintended damage and delivers a more precise, cleaner hole.

We do not provide guidance for DIY concrete drilling, as it is work that requires professional equipment, correct machine installation, a water supply for bit cooling, and knowledge of structural conditions. For work on load-bearing walls, mamad (protected room), or structural elements, we always recommend proceeding with a structural engineer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Professional answers about concrete drilling, diameter, pricing, and the work process.

Core drilling is a precise round hole made with a fixed diamond drilling rig, creating a clean pass-through in concrete walls, floors, or ceilings. It suits routes for plumbing, electricity, air-conditioning, ventilation, flues, and other utilities. The advantage is a smooth, accurate hole at a defined diameter, with no breakage or damage around the drilling point.
Drilling (coring) makes precise round openings for utility routes, while sawing creates straight openings - doors and windows - or cuts and removes whole elements. Coring can reach large depths with maximum accuracy, while sawing suits long, straight cut lines. On a single project we often combine both methods.
The minimum for a single standard core hole is ₪490. As the number of holes grows, the unit price drops significantly, so concentrating the holes at one site is worthwhile. The minimum mobilization to a service area is ₪1,190. For the full breakdown see the drilling price list.
Yes. We offer a "3 holes for ₪990" package for standard cores at the same site. For larger quantities the unit price keeps dropping, and it pays to group all drilling points into one crew visit. We will gladly price a package based on the quantity and diameters you need.
Yes. Diamond drilling with a fixed rig works on heavily reinforced concrete as well. Our diamond tooling cuts through the rebar (steel) and delivers a clean, accurate hole without damaging the structure. Especially dense reinforced concrete may extend the working time slightly and therefore affect the price.
Yes. We perform controlled ceiling cores using a fixed rig suited to overhead work, with full control of the machine and water supply and in line with safety requirements. Ceiling drilling is common for plumbing and air-conditioning routes between floors. Here too, any potential impact on a load-bearing element requires consulting an engineer first.
Not necessarily. If you have a required diameter, it helps to state it. If you are unsure, we will guide you with a few basic questions (type of utility, plumbing, AC, etc.) and recommend the right diameter. We drill a wide range of diameters, from narrow cable routes to large vent and pipe cores.
We drill diamond cores in a wide range of diameters - from narrow holes for electrical and communication cables, through medium diameters for air-conditioning and plumbing, up to large core holes for vents, sewage, and substantial-diameter utilities. The right diameter is set by the type of utility and the requirement, and if you are unsure we will recommend the correct one. For especially large diameters we use dedicated equipment and proper anchoring of the rig.
